Brendan Brisson and Akira Schmid both played well in the VGK 6-1 preseason road win over the Colorado Avalanche, who dropped to 0-4 in their exhibition games. Brisson had two points including a goal and Schmid made 27 saves on the night. Brisson is making it hard on the VGK front office as final cuts loom.
