The Golden Knights jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first period. Chandler Stephenson got the scoring going just two minutes into the game. Led by Nic Hague, the Golden Knights played well in the defensive end and in the neutral zone. Colorado could never get started. Everyone is talking about the hit that Avs defenseman Jack Johnson laid on Keegan Kolesar and whether it was a legal hit. Nic Roy came to Kolesar's defense and was served with 17 minutes of penalty time. Peter DeBoer simplified everything on both ends of the ice, particularly for the makeshift lines. VGK's Power Play woes continue going 0-3, now 0-14 on the season and the Golden Knights are now 0-32 on the PP dating back to last season. .
