The Vegas Golden Knights pulled out a win in a shootout as they defeated the Dallas Stars to stay undefeated through four games on the early season. William Karlsson deflected a Kaeden Korczak shot on net with 3:00 remaining to tie game and Jonathan Marchessault scored the game winner in the shootout period. VGK is 4-0. Korczak also scored his first NHL goal in the game. Bruce Cassidy spoke about how games like this against a playoff-caliber team will help him later on this season if he has to fill in due to injuries again. Adin Hill stopped 22 of 24 shots on goal.
