The Golden Knights should not complain too loud about man-games lost this season. With VGK losing about 60+ games due to injury this season, that number pales in comparison to the Colorado Avalanche, who have lost trip that amount of games to injuries. The two teams meet tonight and the winner in the last five games has been won the visitor in this series. The Avs have lost three straight games, and they haven't scored the first goal in a game in the last 10, dating back to December 10. Colorado has been outscored in the first 8-1 in the last nine games at the first intermission. The Golden Knights have recalled Byron Froese and Kaeden Korczak from their AHL affiliate in Henderson. Daniil Miromanov was injured blocking a shot against Nashville on Saturday and didn't make the trip. Paul Cotter is listed as day-to-day and could play tonight. Jonathan Marchessault also did not make the trip and Alec Martinez was placed on the I.R. On another note, Brayden McNabb could face an NHL disciplinary hearing today if his hit to the head of Mark Jankowski of the Preds was deemed to be illigal. Nathan McKinnon was back on the ice for the Avalanche on Saturday and played vs Toronto following a 29-day absence due to injury.
