Former Golden Knights defenseman Nick Holden retired after 12 years in the NHL earlier this week. He was then named to the VGK Development Staff, where he will focus on working with AHL Silver Knights defensemen. The last blueliners that VGK developed to play full-time for the team were in 2018 - with former Chicago Wolves Shea Theodore, Nic Hague and Zach Whitecloud. Holden played three seasons for VGK. Chris Gawlik talked about the addition of Maxine Comtois, who signed a Professional Tryout Contract this week. He feels Comtois is a "diamond in the rough" and is a strong finisher in front of the net. Comtois is just 24 years old and last played for Anaheim.
