Description

One of the reasons VGK might have crumbled in the playoffs in recent years, had been their lack of physical play. That has not been a problem for the Golden Knights this post-season. What we considered to be a finesse team has become more physical. We feel a combination of Bruce Cassidy's coaching style and veteran leadership has helped VGK improve with its physicality. Last season, for instance, VGK was outhit in about 80-85% of its games. This season, VGK has matched physicality with its opponents in the post season, and this style of play could lead VGK to its first Cup title. We also talk about Keegan Kolesar's comments about the Panthers being "pretenders" in a Game 1 chirp. And we discuss some adjustments going into the third game of the series. Paul Maurice said he will stick with Sergei Bobrovsky on Thursday's night. He said he has complete faith in his starting goalie despite giving up four goals in each of the first two games. VGK leads the Cup Series 2-0.
