VGK defeated Seattle 4-1 on opening night as the Golden Knights raised their Stanley Cup banner at T-Mobile Arena. The Golden Knights avoided a slow start to jump out to a 3-0 lead before Seattle scored its only goal. VGK goals were by Stephenson, Marchessaut, Barbeshev and Jack Eichel added an empty netter. VGK's Brett Howden was hit with a major penalty and William Carrier suffered an upper body injury, which could affect their playing time this week.
