VGK rallied from three goals down to force overtime and Evgenii Dadonov scored the game-winner in the greatest Golden Knights comeback in team history. VGK hadn't won a game (0-57) when trailing by three goals or more in the third period. VGK rallied by scoring three goals in a span of a little over 3 minutes. They also tied the game at 4-4 to send it into overtime. Chandler Stephenson started the scoring off for the Golden Knights. The game also marked the return of Alec Martinez - his first game back since November. He reportedly addressed the team after the second period and inspired the team to come back in the game.
