The Golden Knights entertain a well-rested Dallas Stars team tonight at T-Mobile Arena in their first meeting since the Western Conference Finals, won by VGK in six games. The Stars had a team-bonding weekend in Palm Springs after playing the opening game last Thursday and beating the Blues 2-1 in a shootout. Matt Duchene, Craig Smith and Sam Steel were off-season additions for Dallas. They should add some depth and fill in some gaps. Roope Hintz is listed as day-to-day for the Stars. Meanwhile, William Carrier appears to be returning from injury for VGK. Alex Pietrangelo, who took a puck to the face last week, was not on the ice yesterday and probably won't be in action tonight.
