The Captain Mark Stone is back. He scored two goals in Thursday night's 5-2 series tying victory over the Winnipeg Jets to knot the series at 1-1 heading to Winnipeg for the third and fourth games in the best-of-seven. VG cleaned up a lot of areas including clean entry through the neutral zone and putting pucks on net. The VGK depth took over after a wild first period, in which the Golden Knights trailed 1-0 and were apparantly frustrated. After the first period, VGK outshot the Jets 33-16 enroute to the win. William Karlsson led off the scoring for the Golden Knights with his second goal of the series. Jack Eichel also scored his first-ever postseason goal. But it was Stone's stage. He played an efficient 17:47 and had five shots on goal over his 22 shifts. He looked like the Mark Stone of old. A raucous crown in Winnipeg, including the white out, awaits VGK for Saturday's 1pm faceoff. The Golden Knights still need to clean up their special teams - they were 0-4 on the power play Thursday night and now are 2 for their last 26 while they have yielded three Winnipeg power plays. The Golden Knights have to stay out of the penalty box. We also have our W-T-F What the Friday feature.
