Mark Stone was skating with the third line in Monday's practice. That would be a pretty potent third line if Stone, who is a gametime decision, skates with Max Pacioretty and Chandler Stephenson on this road swing. Stone hasn't played since February 9th and was on the LTIR with a back injury. His return could also mean salary cap complications for VGK. Stone could very well be on a "pitch count" if he returns this week. Max Pacioretty played less than 15 minutes in his return against Arizona Saturday. We will have to see how Stone's back responds when he returns. Alex Pietrangelo also said on Monday that he needs to harness a lot of his energy, since his minutes on the ice have been reduced with the return of Martinez and McNabb. The Golden Knights also were skating with seven blue liners, which took away ice time from Pietrangelo and balanced playing time. We also have Tony's keys to Tuesday night's VGK-Vancouver game.
