Description

Climate change is recognised as the most significant health threat of the 21st century. However, while the physical health effects of climate change are impossible to ignore, a less obvious consequence is its strain on people’s mental wellbeing.

Recent surveys indicate that Australians are three times more worried about climate change than COVID-19 and that four in five Australian adolescents are anxious about climate change.

So what is climate anxiety? What are the signs and symptoms? What can we do to prevent or manage it?

And what is the link between a healthy lifestyle and a healthy climate?

This podcast takes a deep dive into climate anxiety and discusses lifestyle medicine interventions that have the potential to not only improve mental resilience and adaptation to climate change but improve planetary health as well.
