1. Declare your goal! (What)
- What are you trying to accomplish?
- Make your goal SMART.
- Specific – Does you goal clearly state what you are trying to achieve?
- Measurable – How will you know if progress is being made on your goal?
- Attainable – What factors may prevent your from accomplishing your goal?
- Relevant – What values does the goal reflect?
- Time-bound – When will you reach your goal?
- Example – Lose weight
2. Honesty about where you are right now (Who)
- You are the WHO!
- Nobody’s opinions matter but your own.
- You have to be brutally honest with yourself where you are with this goal.
- You have to be in the correct mind-set so you can move forward.
- Example – Lose weight
3. Just in time learning (How)
- How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time!
- Bite size steps.
- What problem am I trying to solve right now?
- Just look at the step you need right now.
- What do I need to move forward on just this step?
- Who can help me with just this step?
- What do I need to learn just for this step?
- Focus on the NOW and not the future steps!
- Example – Lose weight
