POSITIVE THINKING
Focus on the present
- Think about what you are doing today. (live in the moment of today)
- Don’t think about yesterday.
- Don’t think about tomorrow.
- Just set one goal just for today and accomplish it.
- Break your big goal into bit size pieces.
- If you finish the first goal set another and accomplish it.
- You can set a complicated or simple goal as long as you finish it today.
Embrace your creative brain
- What activities gets your creative juices flowing.
- Take action on your creative thoughts.
- Reduce distractions.
- Read a novel or see a live show.
- Carve out time to be creative.
Treat your failure as a learning lesion
- All mistakes and failures are learning opportunities.
- Reset your mind and take a negative and change it to a positive.
- Look hard for the silver lining.
Be confident and fearless
- Be aware of your fear
- Connect with people you find that are fearless and confident.
- Be willing to look stupid
- Adopt a grateful attitude
- Embrace the suck
- Put things in perspective
Visualize your success on a daily basis
- Write your goals down and look at them multiple times daily.
- Don’t leave out any details
- Use a vision board.
- Write and draw in a journal.
- Use vivid pictures in your mind.
Surround yourself with positive people
- Seek out positive and likeminded people
- Separate yourself from negative people
Remember you are in a marathon not a sprint
- This takes time. It doesn’t happen overnight.
- Be patient.
- Set small goals that you can achieve quickly.
