Jones shocked the world by winning a U.S. Senate seat from the state of Alabama during a special election in 2017. After losing that seat to the dreaded football coach turned Florida resident Tommy Tuberville, Jones was on the shortlist for Attorney General under President Joe Biden, a position that ultimately went to Merrick Garland. Now, Jones is staging a political comeback as he prepares to run for the Democratic nomination for Governor of Alabama. But it won't be easy, Jones is running as a moderate Democrat in a deeply red state. But he's shocked the world once, can he do it again?
