*BONUS EPISODE: In this special, midweek bonus episode, Cody sits down with Stacy Abdein, an assistant principal at the Islamic School of Alabama. Her school came under fire from Republican politicians after they attempted to move locations, from their longtime home in Homewood, Alabama to Hoover, Alabama, a suburb of Birmingham. The City of Hoover rejected the Islamic School's attempt to rezone a property for a new school citing traffic issues, but the city council meeting where the school made its case was meet with hateful protestors who engaged in Islamicphobic rants against the school itself. This meeting set off a controversy in the state of Alabama which led to Alabama's U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (who doesn't even live in Alabama) to declare that all Muslims should be kicked out of the state. Stacy discusses how this hateful bigotry has affected the school and breaks down why the school wanted to move in the first place.
