Description

Scott DeHuff sat down with former Navy man, Eric Johnson, to hear his story from back in 1975, when the United States saved thousands of Vietnamese refugees.
The fall of Saigon would lead to chaos, and Eric tells the story of being on the USS Kirk, a small destroyer, that was called into action for Operation Frequent Wind, the evacuation of Saigon. The USS Kirk had very little room for the refugees, so they had to dump numerous helicopters in the China Sea.
Eric also discusses his battle with PTSD after the Vietnam War.
