When dealing with people from a younger or another generation, the best approach is simply to listen and understand them enough to speak their language. Don’t speak the language of your own generation, you will not be able to communicate well.
Understand the skills, values, and characteristics of a person with a different generation from you. If you come in and lead with the framework of your own generation, you will have difficulties.
