The takeaway is approaching your leadership responsibilities with the understanding that you are leading people. Not objects. People have feelings, thoughts, emotions and other things that drive their behavior. The more you understand those things, the more successful you can be in leading them effectively. You have to actually care about them. If you dont, they will know.
