On this episode of The Nomadic Outdoorsman Dan talks to new friend and frog gigger Troy Burton and long time hunting buddy Drew Edwards about chasing big bull frogs in small ponds around Southwest Missouri.
Troy recently moved from Dallas to Springfield Mo and is a lifelong hunter and fisherman. Although he grew up frog gigging he has not participated in the sport in several years. Drew and Dan frog gig together every year and chase after multiple species together all around the country. In this episode Dan, Drew and Troy try to predict how their first night of Missouri’s frog season will go as well as share stories from seasons past and some of their favorite strategies for catching these amphibious delicacies.
