As most of us know, playing the point guard position is an art form. As the game has evolved so has the role. Of the PG’s of his era, Nick Van Exel was as tough as they come. High IQ, could run his offense, pick his spots and was a flat out tough cover. Both coming out of the 1993 draft class, he and Penny brought the positon forward in their time.

Sitting down not only to look back but to look forward on how both the position and the game are trending, they share a common point of view. For Penny and Nick they see so much promise in today’s players. As we find out, they tip their hats to the amount of talent, unique abilities and skill that is played by the point guards of this generation. But of course they could also get buckets in today’s game (or any era for that matter).
