Be our guest on this episode about Pittsburgh Musical Theater's production of Beauty and the Beast, at the Byham Theater from November 7th to the 10th.
Resident Music Director of Pittsburgh Musical Theater, Dr. Francesca Tortorello discusses her role in the show conducting 40 musicians from Pittsburgh Public's Creative and Performing Arts Magnet school (CAPA). Francesca also talks about the 79 young artists from Pittsburgh Musical Theater performing on stage, and how working with all the students is fun.
Francesca highlights her start at PMT over 9 years ago, and how merging her background as a collaborative pianist with musical theater has been amazing. She also just recently performed a Brahms trio with her husband, Pittsburgh Symphony cellist Michael DeBruyn, and PSO clarinetist Ron Samuels.
