Friends of Mellon Park is celebrating their 5th annual Arbor Day Celebration this April!
Board of Trustee Member's Elizabeth Seamans and Abby Wilson, talk about the upcoming event on April 26th. Elizabeth talks about how Arbor Day got started, and what Friends of Mellon Park are doing for the special day. There will be a marching band from Alderdice High School, lawn games for children and adults, a tree walk, an interactive music program, and food trucks!
Abby also talks about why she joined the organization. They both highlight the Terraced Garden Preservation they are working on. There are so many ways people can contribute to help preserve the park.
Make sure to bring a picnic blanket for Friends of Mellon Park's Arbor Day Celebration on April 26th from 11 am to 2 pm. This is a free event, rain or shine!
