It's that time of year again for Marianne Cornetti and Friends Benefit Concert!
Opera singer Marianne Cornetti talks with Anna Singer about her upcoming Benefit Concert and Art Auction on Sunday, June 8th. This year's concert will feature Joe Serafini, Kevin Glavin, Megan Cumming, Flavio Chamis, the Zallo Sisters, and many more! The event will support the Making Minds Matter Fund at UPMC Western Behavioral Health Fund.
Marianne shares how the initiative began in 2019 when she became the artistic director of the Pittsburgh Festival Opera. She highlights the funds raised during the COVID-19 shutdown that provided 80 children Christmas Gifts at Western Psychiatric Hospital. New to this year, Marianne talks about the art auction, organized by Maria DeSimone Prascak.
Marianne hopes everyone comes for a joyous night of music and art to help break the stigma surrounding mental illness.
You can see "Marianne Cornetti and Friends Benefit Concert and Art Auction" on Sunday, June 8th at 3 pm at the Carnegie Music Hall in Oakland. Tickets are $45, with discounts for students.
