Confidence: a feeling of self-assurance arising from one's appreciation of one's own abilities or qualities.
What does comparison theory mean?
the proposition that people evaluate their abilities and attitudes in relation to those of others in a process that plays a significant role in self-image and subjective well-being.
Social comparison theory suggests that people value their own personal and social worth by assessing how they compare to others. Introduced by Leon Festinger in 1954, the theory describes the comparison processes people utilize to evaluate their actions, accomplishments, and opinions in contrast to those of other people.
What is Body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), or body dysmorphia? Body dysmorphic disorder (BDD)is a mental health condition where a person spends a lot of time worrying about flaws in their appearance. These flaws are often unnoticeable to others.
