The Border 2 Fire burning near Chula Vista appears to be slowing down after only growing about 100 acres in size over the last 24 hours. It now stands at just over 6,600 acres and is 10% surrounded. As we head into the fourth day of this fire-fight, evacuation orders are warnings remain in place for surrounding communities. The smoke alert is still in effect for communities around the Border 2 Fire, as Cal Fire has issued an alert warning people to try and limit outdoor activities.
