On today’s show, I discuss the power of language in a number of different contexts.
The very fact that “mental health” is a term of phrase separate to “physical health”, tells us that one’s mind and spirit is seen as something other than the physical body, something other than the whole person. Changing some of the loaded terms around health, and in particular around “mental health” allows us to take some of the judgment out of health conditions, allowing us to see the person and the spirit of that person as a whole being.
I discuss language and self-talk and how negative internal mind chatter has a bigger impact on our state of mind than we may realise. I take you through ways in which we may change the negative internal chatter to positive self-talk.
I also take you through a guided visualization journey where I invite you to visualise and live your greatest dream, including some cool, buzzy affirmations that you can use in your daily life.
