That’s Good Sports Podcast EP 33. Denver Broncos News. Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders tore his achilles at practice on a non contact drill. This comes 3 days after cornerback Chris Harris suffered a broken Fibula in an NFL game against the Cincinnati Bengals. NFL Podcast. Denver Broncos Podcast Hosted by Will Keys and Brandon Perna.

BRONCOS

After Emmanuel Sanders tore his achilles at practice the Broncos place waiver claim on WR Andre Holmes, who was released this week along with Kelvin Benjamin. They have also signed former Arizona Cardinals & Cleveland Browns B Jamar Taylor to add depth to the secondary. Interesting they chose not to bring Adam Jones back for that position. Former Broncos running back C.J. Anderson signs with Oakland Raiders. Current Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay and candidate for offensive rookie of the year won this week’s AFC offensive player of the week. The Sanders injury should provide an opportunity for guys like Courtland Sutton, DaeSean Hamilton, and Tim Patrick to make an impact with the offense and Case Keenum. The Broncos are fighting for a playoff spot still, and need to win out to have any chance. That victory should still happen against the struggling San Francisco 49ers this football Sunday. Emmanuel Sanders was the Broncos leading receiver, he also had 1 rushing touchdown, and one passing TD this season.
