Ms. Smethers has dragged the defendant to court because she is devastated that he refuses to accept that he is their sons biological father. She claims that the DNA results will have a dramatic impact on their future as a family. Mr. Stevens says one look at him and the baby is all the proof anyone needs to see that he is not the father. If that is not enough he claims that the plaintiff slept with another man right before she was pregnant.
