In January of 2001, Jason Newsted quit Metallica. Of the many complicated reasons for the split, one of them centered around Newsted's side project, eclectic hard rock band, Echobrain. In this episode, we break down the formation of Echobrain starting all the way back to a super bowl in 1995 and on through recording at the Chophouse and old school, DIY touring. We listen to Echobrain's 2002 self titled debut with running commentary. We think you'll be surprised by our reaction. We end the episode with Ethan's cover of "Dyers' Eve" from the forthcoming Cover Our World Blackened, Volume 4, which will be released exclusively to patrons this Christmas.
