Today, we meet Beverly + Todd Sandel, the co-creators of Defy Drift, a fun, simple tool for couples to recapture the closeness of deep conversation.
Beverly is passionate about uncovering the hidden genius in the dyslexic community. Gaining experience navigating life with her own hidden dyslexic child, Beverly became an Orton-Gillingham trained tutor in order to help other families struggling through the same plight. Todd is the Founder and CEO of The SouthCity Group, an Executive Coaching and Consulting Firm based here in Atlanta. Todd has dual Master’s degrees in both the fields of Organizational Leadership and Marriage & Family Therapy.
They have been married 20 years, are parents of teenagers ranging in age from 10 to 16, and share the importance of asking good questions while having face to face conversations with each other. They also share with us the philosophy about what it means to be a “citizen of the family.” They answer those hard questions: How do we teach our kids about money? How do we engage our kids doing chores? This couple is inspiring, and as a bonus, you don’t want to miss hearing about their crazy 31-day train trip with the kids this summer.
