Triple Crowner, first woman to complete the 11 National Scenic Trails, and thru hiker with 40,000 miles under her feet, Arlette "Apple Pie" Laan takes a breather and joins Doc in the studio to take a stroll down memory lane. Engaging as always, Apple Pie waxes eloquent on her Hiker Trash cred, semi quilts, introvert struggles, Skywalker, Free Radical, public speaking, Redline Guiding, the Hayduke, and cold-weather hiking. There's also a cute bit where Doc plays Stump Apple Pie, where he tries to find a trail Arlette hasn't hiked.
