We're celebrating Black History Month by profiling black women you DEFINITELY should have heard of! First, Kelley tells the incredible story of Mamie Till, an incredibly intelligent woman who was breaking barriers and proving herself to be a true survivor. When her son Emmett was murdered, she responded in the most incredible ways possible. Emily covers Isabel de Olvera, an interracial black, Mexican woman who had a thirst for adventure. There was just one problem, as a woman of color, trekking across North America presented some unique (and super racist) problems. But Isabel wouldn't let that stop her. Thank your mothers and assemble your list of demands, because we're wining about herstory!
