South-central Los Angeles in the 1980s was a war zone filled with rival gangs, drugs, murder and prostitution. In the middle of this the bodies of women began appearing, tossed onto sidewalks, abandoned lots, and inside of garbage cans. The police suspected a serial killer was responsible, but had few clues. When the new decade began suspects were identified and convicted, but one continued to allude them, 'The Strawberry Killer." Was he dead or incarcerated? Had he moved on or simply never really existed? They didn't know, and for those who survived, the families of his victims, there would be no answers until 2002. when The Grim Sleeper awoke from his slumber and began to kill once again
