What do you want to know about the COVID Vaccine? Should cancer patients get the vaccine? Is it safe for Black people? What are some of the side effects? The Docs get into the questions they've been asked and talk about the data surrounding the vaccine and the different companies producing the vaccine. 

Things you should know about the COVID-19 Vaccine:

  1. The Vaccine is not killing people. COVID is.
  2. The vaccine is provided at no cost to you.
  3. It will be widely available at local pharmacies.
  4. Get both doses! One dose only has 50% efficacy, versus 95% after both doses.
  5. The vaccine prevents illnesses related to COVID. You can still contract and spread COVID
  6. Cancer patients are recommended to get the vaccine but talk to your doctor about appropriate timing.

Common Side Effects of the Vaccine:

The vaccine will not cause cough, stuffy nose, or loss of taste or smell. If you have these symptoms, you would need to be seen for possible COVID-19 infection.
