1967- January 23…Reggie Howard was born in Macon Georgia

1967- June 12…the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Mildred and Richard Loving

This is the ruling that effectively legalized interracial marriage in the United States

finally overturning all so-called anti-miscegenation laws.

1967!! Y’all this happened in OUR lifetime…

well, at least it was Reggie’s lifetime🤣

Seriously tho…

Every June 12th, I pause to give special thanks to Mildred and Richard Loving

and how their love unwittingly paved the way for couples all over this country

- couples just like Reggie and me.

Their story, all they endured for each other, including jail time🤬

brings perspective to our relationship and what we went through to be together

While plenty of people objected to us getting married…and having children

-it was never against the law 😳

Just the thought of this injustice gets me super fired up😆

plus today’s podcast recording came after an already challenging morning… as you will soon hear about 🍫

In the end -
all that truly matters is that Love is Love is LOVE🖤
