The language of setting one’s mind on something is reminiscent of the fact that we are to “[take] every thought captive” (2 Cor. 10:5). The world in which we live offers much by way of distraction, but the love of Christ, the reality of one’s identity in Him, and the desire to be with Him prompts the Christian to gladly seek where He is and to think of Him. This world is fleeting, but an eternity with King Jesus is imminent.
