It is motivating to consider that God has redeemed people from every tribe, tongue, and nation to become one flock in Christ’s excellent care. Whenever you are tempted to relax your commitment to Christ, ponder deeply the sweet and lavish grace of God to bring you, who were once far from Him, into His fold. A sheep without a shepherd is doomed to destruction, but God has given us a good shepherd in Christ Jesus. Remember this glorious privilege and press on with renewed devotion to follow Him.
