Let us do away with praying that speaks of God’s glory in an attempt to manipulate Him to do our will. Such praying is not the pinnacle of prayer but the putrescence of it. Read David’s plea again and ask yourself, “Do I really know how to pray? Is this verse the cry of my heart? Is God’s glory my chief end? Is the goal of my praying truly His exaltation?”
