Let us always remember that God is true and His promises are sure. Were it not for the certainty of His promises, our soul would not only be downcast, but our heart would also despair to the point of breaking. We would be without the hope of God’s soothing and strengthening presence, without the hope of a sure and eternal future in heaven.
