Melanie Brezill is a current cast member in the San Francisco Company of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. She can't wait to return to the stage when it is safe to do so!
Favorite credits include: The Book of Mormon (Broadway and both National Tours), Mamma Mia! (National Tour), Nina Simone: Four Women (Northlight Theatre); For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide / When the Rainbow Is Enuf (Court Theatre), World Premiere of The Man in the Ring (Court Theatre), A Christmas Carol (The Goodman Theatre), the one-woman show, The MLK Project: The Fight for Civil Rights (Writer’s Theater), and Caroline, or Change (Court Theatre).
On camera credits include Empire and the webseries, Matching Pursuits and various TV commercials including the Illinois lottery commercial “Booyah!”
As singing is her first love, Melanie is passionate about the voice and discovering its capabilities. She has recorded several voice over commercials for radio and TV including spots for McDonalds, All State, Toyota, My Black Is Beautiful Hair Care, and Hallmark. Her dream is to one day voice a cartoon character!
Melanie is a graduate of Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. She has continued to study acting and vocal technique over the years with various coaches including Melissa Foster, Janelle Snow, Kurt Naebig, and Adria Dawn at The Actors Studio Chicago.
