Now this is an episode I’ve been looking forward to recording for a long time. When you look at the global coaching community, there are very many coaches but not many that you would recognise walking down the street. Today’s guest is one of the most famous faces in world coaching. After starting her career in broadcast radio, Maika Leibbrandt spent over 14 years at the Gallup Organisation where she developed and launched Gallup’s Global Strengths Coach program, educating thousands of coaches and leaders on the life-changing potential of a talent-first approach to coaching – one of those coaches was me. Together with her colleague Jim Collison, she spent many years co-hosting Gallup’s popular Theme Thursday podcast, a tool for understanding and interpreting Gallup’s CliftonStrengths talent assessment. Every single one of my coachees over many years has undertaken CliftonStrengths and I always direct them to Jim and Maika’s incredible podcast content to discover more about their top talents and strengths.
After working in different contexts and different countries, Maika describes herself as coming home to coaching. She says it’s the work she was born to do. Just last month she took the leap to set up her own business and is now helping leaders in her own right to experience their unique power and promise.
Maika has been one of my top targets to convince and cajole to come on the podcast ever since I started The Unlock Moment, and I can assure you with absolute certainty that this is an episode you will not want to miss.
