The night after clinching their first NL East title in 13 years, the Philadelphia Phillies were blown out by the Chicago Cubs in a 10-4 loss, but it didn’t even feel THAT close.  

Tanner Banks opened the game for the Phillies and pitched a scorless 1st inning. Then Bryce Harper blasted his 30th homer of the season that gave the Phillies a 1-0 lead after 1.  

Then the wheels came off in the 2nd.  

Banks loaded the bases, and for some reason, the Rob Thomson thought that was the perfect time for Taijuan Walker to enter the game. Walker walked in two runs and was on his way to allowing 6 runs cross the plate in total. He was charged for 3 of them, while the other three went to Banks.  

Kolby Allard took over after Walker and shut things down in the 4th and 5th  innings before surrendering 4 of his own in the 6th.  

Kyle Schwarber hit his 38th homer of the season in the 8th inning. A 2-run homer to centerfield.
