The Philadelphia Phillies lost to the Miami Marlins 5-0 to mark their 4th straight loss. In the first half of the season, the Phils didn’t lose more than three games in-a-row, now they have lost 4 in-a-row twice since the all-star break. 

Taijaun Walker made his first start since June 21st and lasted just 4 innings allowing 3 runs on 4 hits and 3 walks, but needed 76 pitches to get through the outing. He did surrender a homer to Jake Burger in the 3rd inning when he left a fastball up in the zone. 

The Phillies offense was again, more than lacking. They managed just 4 hits in the contest and allowed Marlins starter Valente Bellozo too look like a Cy Young contender. 

Bryce Harper, Nick Castellanos, JT Realmuto and Johan Rojas were the only Phillies able to record hits in the game. Casty and Rojas came up with doubles. Alec Bohm drew the team’s only walk to extend his on-base streak to 30 games.
