The Philadelphia Phillies beat the Saint Louis Cardinals 4:00 to 3:00 to notch their second consecutive series win. Aaron Nola got the start for the Phils to win his 2nd game of the season pitching 6 innings allowing 2 runs on 3 hits and 3 walks. Both runs charged to Nola came by way of the long ball. Ivan Herrera and Brendon Donovan each hit a solo home run. 

At the plate JT Realmuto returned to action after leaving Tuesday night's game early with a throat contusion. The Phils’ catcher had two hits today, but was also the beneficiary of a first inning error by Cardinals’ center fielder Victor Scott II. The misplay resulted in Kyle Schwarber scoring from first and Realmuto getting to second base. Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm then plated Realmuto with an RBI single.

Phillies manager rob Thompson tinkered with the lineup before today's game moving Brandon Marsh into the 6-hole and the struggling Bryson down to the 8-hole. Marsh rewarded his manager with an RBI single in the sixth inning. Nick Castellanos also drove in a run in that 6th inning with an RBI single that proved to be the difference in the ball game.
