The Philadelphia Phillies win their 3rd straight as the beat the Diamondbacks 6-4 Thursday night! 

Kolby Allard started for the Phils and allowed just 1 run over his 5 innings of work. The double play ball was huge for the 26 -year-old lefty. He was able to get the D-Backs to ground into 3 of them throughout his start. 

The bullpen had their struggles but closed the door when needed. Orion Kerkering pitched the 6th inning and surrendered a 2-run homer to Jake McCarthy just two batters into his appearance. Jeff Hoffman and Jose Alvarado tossed a scoreless 7th and 8th inning respectively. Then Carlos Estevez pitched the 9th and did record his first save as a Phillie, but also surrendered his first earned run in his last 23.2ip. 

The pitching was backed by a 4-run 6th inning that began when Weston Wilson delivered an RBI double for the Phillies first run of the game. Trea Turner followed in the inning with a 2-run single, then Bryce Harper plated Kyle Schwarber with an RBI single, one of Harper’s 3 hits on the night. 

JT Realmuto also helped the cause with his first home run since May 23rd, which ended a 22-game homer-less drought for Realmuto.
