A Little About David Young:

David is a former consulting actuary for Fortune 100 companies. He built the world’s largest coaching business, becoming #1 on Google for life coaching and coaching thousands of hours in 12 countries around the globe.

As well as helping others, David is no stranger to overcoming challenges himself, having survived a full collapse of his paraglider and a fractured spine, witnessing the death of his sister at age seven, anxiety and depression, and a national Gong Show!

He coaches high-performing business owners to double revenue, and their time off by focusing on less and being 30% more courageous in their business or career.

In this episode of The Millionaire's Lawyer, JP and David Young discuss:

Since the last time that David was on the show, Covid-19 has really made a change to how all businesses flow.

Whole industries and client groups have been affected and a massive shift has occurred.

For example, Interior Designing:

Used to be getting one or two things to decorate your house

Now, it has shifted into making your home your nest, it is the place you are now the majority of the time and people want it to express who they are.

There are two things that businesses cannot afford:

  1. Loose Messaging
  2. To run 1 mile wide by 1 inch deep.
    • Entrepreneurs have to get laser-focused on what it is that moves the needle.

Get paid for who you are

Name that mouse! People always like to point out the elephant in the room, but no one ever likes to point out the mouses!

Being able to point out that mouse in the room allows you to have more impact on the person you are talking with.

David Young shares the Three Big Buckets:

  1. Productivity
    1. Clear on goals
    2. When you sit down, turn off distractions
    3. Have a positive mindset, is there a problem? Name the mouse!
  2. Revenue
    1. Leads
    2. Conversions
    3. Are you loving your current clients enough?
  3. Team
    1. Owners are generally the bottler= neck of the corporation
    2. Hire the talent
    3. Make sure they have the motivation
      • Accountability
      • Safe space
      • Is the staff happy?

The Five "1's"

  1. Target Market
    • pick one
  2. The problem within the target market
    • pick one
  3. Solution for said problem
    • pick one
  4. Traffic Source
    • pick one
  5. Conversion Tool
    • pick one

BE COURAGEOUS, it is the honestly that lights you up!
