What Are Parables? 🤔
The word parable comes from the Greek parabole, meaning “to place beside”—a story placed next to a spiritual truth.
📖 Jesus used everyday situations—a farmer sowing seed, a lost son, a dishonest judge—to reveal deep truths about God’s Kingdom.
And here’s the genius of it: the stories made people think.
Even the disciples asked:
“Why do you speak to the people in parables?” (Matthew 13:10)
Because Jesus didn’t force belief—He planted seeds. 🌱
The Power of a Story
Jesus’ parables weren’t meant to give quick answers. Instead, they were designed to:
🔹 Spark curiosity
🔹 Challenge assumptions
🔹 Soften hearts
🔹 Ignite faith
Those who were open would receive and be transformed. Those who weren’t? They would simply hear a story.
That’s why we need ears to hear what the Spirit is saying!
God’s Kingdom comes one transformed heart at a time. ❤️
🙏 Let’s pray for open hearts as we journey through the parables together.
