About Kevin Garland:
Kevin is the CEO of Mountaire Farms, one of the largest poultry companies in the U.S. with nearly 10,000 employees and over $2 billion in revenue. Mountaire has been in Sherrill’s (Kevin’s wife) family for over 100 years. Kevin has spent the entirety of his career building and leading industrial businesses. Prior to Mountaire, Kevin was a Managing Partner at The Sterling Group, a middle market private equity firm in Houston, for 17 years. Previously, Kevin was at Enron in the mergers and acquisitions group and led Enron’s private equity business. He also spent time at Parker and Parsley Petroleum and Stephens Inc. Kevin received a B.A. from Rhodes College and an M.B.A. with honors from the Owen School of Management at Vanderbilt University.
He and his wife, Sherrill Cameron Garland, moved to Little Rock in July 2021 from Houston, TX. While in Houston they were active in many faith-based organizations supporting children and the impoverished. They are the parents of Mary Elizabeth, Charlie, and Cameron. Kevin serves on the boards of WorkFaith Connection, River Pointe Church, and formerly Rhodes College.
