About Wade Pursell: Mr. Pursell joined SM Energy as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in September 2008.

Mr. Pursell has more than 34 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining SM Energy, Mr. Pursell was with Helix Energy Solutions Group, Inc. (NYSE: HLX). While at Helix, Mr. Pursell served in several roles including Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and Vice President-Finance and Chief Accounting Officer. Mr. Pursell was with Arthur Andersen LLP, from 1988 through 1997, where he served in roles of increasing responsibility, culminating as an Experienced Manager specializing in the offshore services industry.

Mr. Pursell currently serves on the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement – Rocky Mountain.
